What We Do (and Don't Do)
AlloyFix is a mobile cosmetic alloy wheel repair service operated by Steve May, servicing Melbourne and Bendigo, Victoria.
✅ We do
Gutter rash and kerb damage repair, scratch and scuff removal, full wheel resprays, rim colour changes
❌ We don't
Structural repairs, crack welding, buckle straightening, tyre fitting, wheel alignment, mechanical work, motorcycle wheels
If we inspect your wheels and find structural damage, we'll let you know and advise on next steps. We won't carry out cosmetic work on a wheel that isn't structurally sound.
All prices on our website and quote form are starting estimates. The final price depends on wheel type, damage extent, and finish required. We always confirm the price before starting. You will never be charged more than the agreed amount without your say-so.
Resprays
Quoted as a 4-wheel package unless otherwise agreed
We accept
PayID, Card, Cash, Bank Transfer. Due on completion or by arrangement
Every completed repair and respray is backed by a 12 month workmanship warranty. If paint peels, flakes, or the clear coat fails under normal driving conditions due to our work, we will rectify it at no charge.
What's covered:
Paint peeling or flaking caused by our application
Clear coat failure under normal driving conditions
Defects in workmanship identified within 12 months
What's not covered:
New damage from kerb strikes, impacts, or accidents after the repair
Automated car washes or pressure washing within 48 hours of service
Harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive products used on the repaired area
Repairs, repaints, or modifications done by a third party after our work
Pre-existing corrosion, pitting, or structural defects present before service
Normal wear and tear from regular road use
Care tip: Avoid car washes and pressure cleaning repaired wheels for at least 48 hours. Use pH-neutral wheel cleaners going forward to get the longest life from your finish.

Bookings and Cancellations
Once a booking is confirmed, we allocate time and travel to your location. We're a small team covering a large area, so late cancellations and no-shows have a real impact.

We get that emergencies happen. If something comes up last minute, get in touch as soon as you can and we'll do our best to work with you.
AlloyFix may also need to reschedule due to weather or equipment issues. We'll give you as much notice as possible and find a time that works.
We're fully mobile, but we need a few things in place to do our best work:
Power source Standard household power point within reach of an extension lead
Car keys Available so we can rotate the wheels as needed
Clean wheels Free from silicone, oil, or heavy brake dust build-up
Covered area preferred Let us know if unavailable so we can check weather
Safe flat workspace Enough room around the vehicle for our equipment
If we arrive and the workspace is unsuitable or unsafe, we may need to reschedule. If requirements were communicated in advance and not met, the late cancellation fee may apply.

Liability and Limitations
We take care with every job, but there are some inherent limitations to mobile cosmetic repair you should know about:
Colour matching is performed to the closest possible match but may be affected by existing finish age, UV fading, and environmental factors. An exact factory match cannot be guaranteed on older or weathered wheels.
Pre-existing damage including corrosion, pitting, or previous poor-quality third party repairs may affect outcome. We'll flag any concerns before starting.
Specialist finishes such as machine face, diamond cut, shadow chrome, and hyper silver may not be fully replicable through mobile repair. We'll be upfront if a workshop solution would give a better result.

Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be provided with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for purpose. To the maximum extent otherwise permitted, AlloyFix's liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the service provided.
AlloyFix is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Name, phone number, email address, vehicle make and model, your address or location, and any photos you upload through our quote form
Why we collect it
To provide accurate quotes, schedule and deliver our service, send booking confirmations and reminders, and request a review after your service
How we store it
Securely via our business management platform, hosted on servers in the United States. By providing your details, you consent to this cross-border transfer
Who we share with
Nobody sells or trades your data. Shared only with operational providers (booking platform, SMS/email service, review collection) as needed
Cookies: Our website may use cookies and analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Data is anonymised. You can control cookie settings through your browser.
Marketing: We may send service-related texts and emails (reminders, follow-ups). No unsolicited marketing without your consent. Reply STOP to any SMS or contact us to opt out anytime.
